Workshop Information

Forest Press Hydraulics operate a fully computerised machine shop. Drawings are created using the latest ‘CAD’ Systems (Computer Aided Design – 2D & 3D) and programmed in a 3 dimensional ‘CAM’ System (Computer Aided Machining) before being downloaded the ‘CNC’ (Computer Numerical Controlled) machine shop.

The CNC machining centres vary in size, but each machine has been purchased with a specific job in mind. Since Forest Press Hydraulics are a specialist company concentrating purely on the hydraulically pressed concrete market we can tailor the machine shop to the direction required, ensuring the components produced are done so as efficiently as possible.

To compliment the CNC equipment, we have several manual machines, for edging, jobbing, turning etc.

Surface Scanning
Forest Press Hydraulics offer a unique ‘surface scanning’ service, this allows customers to issue a sample piece of stone or hard material with almost any type of pattern / texture which can be set up onto our scanning facility allowing the surface co-ordinates to be compiled and stored. From this data we can reproduce the surface as scanned, or manipulate the data first to deepen, reverse or take sections from the scanned original. Almost any interpretation required can be accommodated.

Fabrication
All fabrication is undertaken on site, the company has several fabricators manufacturing all types of components, press bases, take off units, pallet magazines, die carriers and so on.

Assembly
A team of skilled engineers assemble all items manufactured, from the smallest cylinder assemblies to complete presses and take off assemblies.
