Press Handling Systems

Various options of handling system are available from a simple hand operated handling system to a pneumatically / hydraulically (or electrically) powered handling system, even fully automated robotic handling systems.

Our take off unit and pallet magazine have been developed over a period of 8 years. The original design was a joint effort alongside our customers, and was successfully modified to enable a larger range of product throughput. Increased press cycle times were also achieved early on in the development, and now we believe we manufacture the most productive handling systems on the market today!

The assembly has gone from a solely pneumatic powered unit, to a more advanced electric/hydraulic system. This amalgamation enables complete control of every operation, along with smoothness and variable speed. Of course, with a system now more complex, we have re-designed the software and PLC system to give you more machine flexibility and control.

Both the Pallet Magazine and Take-Off units are manufactured from heavy duty steel sections as free standing fabrications. Fitted to the Take-Off are both the vacuum and tilt table carriages. These carriages run on heavy duty rollers to enable smooth running on the detachable wear strips. The roller conveyor system has thick wall tube rollers, with pillow block bearings to enable free running across the deck. Fitted to the rollers are external duplex chains and sprockets, with independent chain tensioners to give you the necessary final adjustments. The whole assembly is powered with an external motor and gearbox controlled via the PLC system. Coupled with an inverter, we can ensure your products are moved as smoothly as possible when indexing.
