Solid Cut Mould Table Segment

Due to the old style cast mould table segments being in production for such a long period, the working faces and tappings naturally wear. To make matters worse, the aperture sizes also vary. Forest Press are now manufacturing mould table segments from solid steel flame cuts, enabling all the important dimensions to be maintained and tooling set up times shortened.

Pneumatic Dog Cylinder Assembly

To help simplify the hydraulics, a pneumatic dog cylinder assembly has been designed to enable the dogs in the gearbox to be engaged and disengaged. This is now done via a simple single acting solenoid valve through the PLC system. This assembly has proven very successful in correcting the age old problems with gearboxes, ensuring the dogs are engaged and disengaged easier.

Riven / Slate Finish Formers

Steel Formers can now be machined for a natural riven/slate finish. We can give you a sharp, defined natural look using steel mesh and paper.

Bespoke PLC Systems

We can design and manufactured in either Mitsubishi or Allen Bradley. Our in house facility can handle any requirements for your press.

Pneumatic Rise & Stop Cylinders

We have developed a simple pneumatic cylinder assembly that enables the plunger to be changed with ease. This cylinder is also controlled with a simple single acting control valve, from the slewing signal. Due to the new way this assembly is controlled, the old rise and stop valve that is positioned at the end of the gearbox assembly is now made redundant. Now the old valve and all its associated piping can be removed giving you a neater looking press!
